New Lessons in Proverbs 31
Blessings,
I pray this finds you well and encouraged. That being a Proverbs 31 woman an attainable goal in Christ Jesus! That you are precious in His eyes and have been given all you need to reach your goal.. because Jesus Who has placed this desire in your Heart is His will and will complete what He starts in you! For you are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared for us in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
Today we are starting up with verse 26 which reads, in the KJV ..She openth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Ladies, here we go :) How many times do we open our mouth and speak before we think? We speak just because we have an opinion on the subject matter or we have 'news' which really is gossip ( and sending a prayer request which doesn't involve us or is laced with slander or 'we must pray for Sister..... because she is dealing with this sin.." is nothing more the gossip) and we are much better then that! When we open our mouth, we speak with grace and with wisdom. Self control ladies is a sign of wisdom. We speak what God says. We speak with grace and love ooozing out of our hearts. The Word says out of our mouth, the heart speaks.. Le'ts fill our hearts with His Word so when we do open our mouths, we do speak with wisdom and with kindness. There are so many ways to say something. Let's say it kindly.. we don't have to speak with religioneze.. actually that puts people off. Let's speak with geniune kindness. People will not want to know what you know if they do not know you how much you love. Speak with kindness.. it goes a lot farther!
Verse 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. We are not sitting around watching tv and letting our homes go to waste. We are tending to the needs of our family and keeping our homes in such a way that it is pleasant to return to. We set the tone of our homes and that takes some work :) Is it clean and picked up? Now you maybe wondering how many children I have you bet, I have five. I do have toys in my home and they are not perfectly aligned like a store :) I do have toy buckets in the family living area and lots of john deere tractors around .. It is possible to have children and have toys and such put away or in such a way that it is not cluttered and messy :0
We have dinner thought of or planned for before Dad walks thru the door at night :) Or if your husband loves to cook, you have the needed ingredients available. This is not about who does what but what the heart attitude is .. we do not let laziness and selfishness override our love for our families and our needs. The point I am making is not about chores. What works for your individual family needs to be worked out with grace and letting our preconcieved notions of what a woman and man's chore is.. For instance, my husband LOVES to cook. It is also a love language for him. He loves to cook on the weekends. This used to bother me before I knew his heart. I thought he was not happy with how I cooked, or that he might think it was a bother to me.. I had to evaluate my heart and listen to him.. and hear that he was showing love to me :) If my home is picked up and clean, he receives that as I love him. If I am being lazy and is not in order, he takes that as a slap in the face. We had to find out how eachother felt and move from there. Let's not give into idleness in showing love and grace to our loved ones!
Verse 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed' her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Oh this is one of my favorite parts of this passage.. how about you? I can see how this is with my own mother. She lived out the Word in front of us. She didn't preach but she lived it. Now that we are older, we can appreciate the sacrifices she made. We can appreciate how she just lived life with grace, strength and humor. We are rising up and honoring her. But you know what? We did this also as we were growing up and I'm finding the joy of my children's praise even now as they are home and growing up. There is nothing like hearing, "Mom, I love ya, you're the best" When my husband give me praise and speaks of how much he adores me, that does the heart good :) Praise happens when we are faithful even in the little things. Like every day living. We leave impressions on others on how we live day to day.
I pray you are seeing, this is attainable. With Jesus, all things are possible and enjoy the living in the every day, mondain tasks for they will rise up and call you blessed :)

Thoughts From My Heart...
Waiting on God requires the willingness to bear uncertainty, to carry within oneself the unanswered question, lifting the heart to God about it whenever it intrudes upon one's thoughts."
~~ Elizabeth Elliot
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
oh beloveds, how precious is our God? What an honor it is to come to His throne in prayer! He has bought that right to come to the Father by His atoning death on the cross where He tore down the barrier.. He is our Mediator- 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one Mediator also between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. Because of Jesus, we can approch God our Father with our requests. We do not need to be anxious for anything. The God of Heaven is our Father Who cares and wants to give us His peace. We must come with thanksgiving. We can bring everything to Him in prayer because of the new covenant bought by His blood. So go to Him, make your request be known. Do not let worry and anxious thoughts overwhelm you but let His peace which really is beyond comprehension guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.
There was a time when our youngest was being helicoptered to Children's hospital because of a serious injury. I was terribly scared but as my pastor was driving me to the hospital where my beloved husband would meet us as it was quite a distance away at the time.. this verse from Philippians went over in my mind like a recording.. over and over and over. His peace does come and it is beyond understanding... and our son is fine now thank be the Jesus~ But I tell you this story to let you know, His peace is real. We can come to Him over every little thing. Nothing is too little or too big to come to Him!

Lessons in Proverbs ..
Ladies, I am so excited about this series as we dig into His Word :) Are you coming to understand how precious you are in His eyes? I certainly hope so!
Today, we're starting with verse 23.
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.
God has blessed her with a strong Godly husband. He has a heart for his own family as well as his community. He is not self centered but works for the betterment of others. A wife's character, her duties and care speak well of her and it brings benefits to her husband's business and success. Her character wil not bring harm but good to him.
On a side note, if you are single, you are not left out but if God calls you to marriage, He will bring the right man into your life :) Your character will bring blessing and success as well.
Verse 24.. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies belts to the tradesmen.
She is an industrious woman, using her giftings to contribute to her home. She works diligently as we have seen in previous verses and she finds new ways to bring in money to their home. She is creative and hard working. She brings beauty and provides a needed service.
Verse 25.. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future.
I so love this verse :) In a day and age when life is uncertain, we can have a heart filled with God's strength and dignity. We do not need to walk with our heads hanging low in fear but in the knowledge that He is El Shaddai, He is our all 'n all and He is the Most High God .. there is nothing out of His control and we are firmly in His hands. We can smile at the future, no matter what comes our way.
Be blessed, all who would read!

Lessons in Proverbs 31
Are you ready dear ones for some more thoughts from the Word? We are already making our way to verse 20
She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.
Ladies, this is the gospel.. we are to help those in need.. if they can not eat or have the means for help, how are they going to know Jesus loves them? We who have been blessed by His love must be His hands and feet and help those in need. How much have we been given? How much more should we give :)
Verse 21.. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet.
She is well prepared for the upcoming seasons and weather. She is constantly preparing for the needs of her family and they are not let down. She has them clothed and has her pantry stocked. She is not afraid of sudden changes and trusts in God Who has proven Himself faithful. This may not be the easiest part of being a woman.. to completely trust and not be afraid of sudden change and we as women crave stability.. But no matter what the world puts out there, no matter what the financial climate of the economy, no matter what is in the newspaper, God is the God Who is our Provider. He is our Jehvovah Jireh. He is El Shaddai, our Adonai! He is our LORD GOD, He is Lord Almighty! We need not be afraid!
Verse 22 She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. The work of her hands is productive and brings beauty to her home. She takes care with artistic flair in decorating her home and it shows. She also takes time on her clothing and her appearance. Now we know He looks on the heart and our outward appearance is not what matters but we do not let ourselves go. We spend time to show the handiwork of God. We are created in His image and we are beautiful because He made us. We take the time to dress modestly with beauty and care.
Ladies, please take notice, You Are A Chosen Child of God! You are clothed in purple and beauty. You are not afraid of the Future for Your Father is the God of all and He has promised to care for you. So be blessed, for you a virtuous, strong woman of God

Names of Jesus Cornerstone
Cornerstone
Isaiah 28:16
therefore says the LORD GOD,
"Behold, I am the One who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation:Whoever believes will not be in haste." ESV
Ephesians 2:20
And are built upon the foundation of hte apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone; KJV
He is the cornerstone of the foundation of our faith. He was rejected by the religious leaders of His time on earth and still being rejected by many today but He is chosen by God from eternity to build His House with Christ as its foundation. We surely can trust as He is our Rock and sure foundation.
